Went up to the One Tree Hill in the morning, and headed for the summit where the grave of Sir John Logan Campbell, and was also dedicated to the Maori natives of New Zealand, including the discoverer of Aoteora, Kupe.

One could get a glimpse of a breathtaking view of the sprawling Auckland city which seemed to stretch far and wide below our feet. The air was cool up here, and we spent some time before heading downhill again. Parents wanted to do some visiting at their friends’ houses, so we spent most of our day shuttling between one house to another.

Lunch was some much needed Malaysian food at a Malaysian restaurant. The only downside was that I’ve forgotten that the meal portions here are much larger compared to the ones back home, so we ended up taking away some of the leftovers for breakfast the next day.

It was going to be our last day in New Zealand technically, as we would be heading for the airport the next night to catch our plane back. So most of our time was actually spent packing and organizing our luggages which had been in a great mess, no thanks to us lugging it from one place to another since we got here.
